Normally, I'd rent a car and drive, but for this trip, I'll be 7 months pregnant and, frankly, won't be in the mood to navigate commuter traffic.

Have you thought about taking Metro North --- most comfortable way would be bus to Grand Central Terminal and then commuter train?

Alternative would be the M1 city bus to the Harlem Station.
