What is cute, is that HUY ranks as the best airport in the UK - and the 9th best in the world. Now I'm as fond of Hull as the next man, and its airport boasts an impressive list of destinations from Aberdeen to Amsterdam. But although I've never been lucky enough to pass through its hallowed halls, I can confidently predict that I won't be wowed by the experience.
Acutally I have been wowed by the experience. I love being able to return to an airport and be back in my car, having collected my checked luggage, within 9 minutes of having got off the plane

It's not so great as an outbound. Security (when last I was there) was not available all the time, only x mins before the flight. If you were very early (as I was the first time, when I wasn't too sure how long the drive was from my house) then you just had to sit around in an area which resembled a higher end bus terminal, with a few shops and check-in desks around. But it does have a decent lounge and there are way worse domestic airports out there (MME and GLA, take a bow!).
