Just make sure the dates on the SIN-SFO can be changed, for low or no fe or set for a long time in the future wen you know you will be returning to SFO.
It defeats the purpose...of gettingthe lower SFO-SIN fare cos when you combine it with the more expensive SIN-SFO fare, you are paying more. Why bother with such a stint when there is no mininum stay requirement?

SFO-SIN-SFO eg $1200 + SIN-SFO-SIN eg $2400 = $3600
SFO-SIN-SFO + another SFO-SIN-SFO = S$2400
