There are ways around the primary imposed limit, so giving out a card to a stranger is still a mistake.

If you think someone would do it for $1500 (0 benefit) for a stranger, that's where I lose you. Maybe for the $2500+$1500=$4000 per year.

I'd add a supplemental card to my Centurion for an immediate family member or very close friend (and they'd pay the supplemental fee), but anything beyond that, at a minimum I'd want them to pick up my fee and theirs.
