The 3 hours are recommended by the Airport - and i'd be better early than too late i got most of my expenses paid anyway, so a sandwich would not kill me (moneywise)

Yes i was thinking about going by car when i planned my trip with my companys travel agency and they were unable to get me prices for a rental car within a resonable time and the flight is really cheap. I would have loved to drive down to Detroit but thats life. I do get a lot what i wanted for my travels so when one thing fails i'm not complaining about that.
