Hello - First post in the QR Forum.

I have searched this Forum and the QR website but cannot find the answer. Assuming I make it to the dizzying heights of QR Gold by December 2011 (and, therefore, remain Gold until the end of 2012), can I expect a "soft landing" to Silver even if I do not collect the requisite 150 Q Points during 2012? It's not a deal breaker but it would be nice to know either way.

I am planning 6 round trips between AUH/DXB and Europe/South Africa (all in Y, sadly) for the latter half of 2011 and QR is by far the most competitive, price-wise, so far. I don't mind the idea of transiting through DOH as the flight times are agreeable in both directions and it seems a small sacrifice to make if the airline is as good as lots of people claim.

Anyway, I am sure I will have many more questions if I stick with the plan to maximise flying QR. Thanks in advance for any help.
