How long is your layover?

From a quick look on ITA software, there's a connection on all-KE metal from YYZ to TPE that only requires a 2h40m layover in Incheon in the midafternoon - so travelling this route in this direction would seemingly NOT qualify for a complimentary overnight stay, even if you have a different itinerary with a longer stopover.

On the return, it doesn't seem possible to make the journey without an almost 11 hour stop overnight at ICN, unless you are going with KE to YVR and making another connection there - so I would have expected you would qualify for an overnight stay on the way back to YYZ.
