The extra award availability in Y for elites is quite helpful. My CO redemptions have (IIRC) always had at least one segment in that bucket.

I'm also getting an offer for 30k miles at $1350, but that's only if I spend $900 on 30k RDMs, for a total of $2250 (on a reward ticket). Is that the offer you see? If so, those EQMs cost 7.5cpm.

When I did a match to CO 4 years ago I faxed over a copy of my US card and a year's worth of FF activity. While it would not be too hard to forge that stuff, checking for earned (via flying) status in this way would prevent most attempts to match based on freebie status.

Had CO required a challenge, I probably would have stuck with US. That would have been a mistake, but that's what I would have done.
