The Park Hyatt is a great hotel, but I don't think OP will like that one either (same crowd/style as the Plaza Athénée). I have three suggestions.

Fouquet's Barrière
Le Burgundy
Renaissance Vendôme

The Mandarin Oriental Paris opens this summer (just down the street from the Renaissance). That may be a good option for OP if the travel dates fit.
