I can't comment about the olden days as I only started lurking round here in the middle of last year.... but I am definitely finding the advice, information and general banter to be top-notch.

I have, for example, just this minute got off the phone from changing the way I pay my rent every month from Direct Debit to a miles-earning credit card at no additional cost to myself (though the landlord's payment agent wouldn't take Amex for obvious reasons). Whilst this wasn't something I found explicitly on FT / the BA Board it's definitely something I was prompted to look into after lurking around here.

A few more massively generous miles offers wouldn't go amiss if anyone can find them though
