Haven't stayed at the Westin Grand, but from the above comments I wanted to clarify it is downtown, near the new Library, theaters, etc. Just wanted to point out it is not in all that bad a location.

But the Pan Pacific is a better location, right on, or in, the harbour! I highly recommend it. The Fairmount Waterfront is across the street from the Pan and half the rooms would have harbour views. Plus it has the famous dog living in the lobby available to be walked by guests.

The Bayshore is the classic Starwoods property, esp if you can get in the so called tower. Great rooms, great views, but this one is definitely away from the core, a good healthy 15-20 walk.
