When I started posting or maybe lurking in 2008, there seemed to be lots of threads with good information about bonus miles, AMEX schemes, Tesco etc, but recently there seem to have been more issues / complaints with customer services, reward flights, upgrades, etc.

I wonder whether the market has become saturated with bonus miles, MR's etc and therefore more people are trying to redeem awards, hence more potential problems.

If this is the case, perhaps fewer incentives will be offered, as supply of award seats could well be massively less than demand.
