I decided to try the direct SPG-Amtrak transfer, and then on to UA. The extra step using Continental makes me nervous--the more steps, the more chance for delay and screwups. I called last week, and am waiting for the miles to show up in my Amtrak account. Anyone have any experience on how long this should take?
