I was -platinum but I didnt fly enough last year, I dont know many rules from CO cause I am more a flyer of Copa Airlines, my doubt its that they are showing open seats for upgrades with miles, they upgraded platinums but not gold or at least not to all Gold members.
I am traveliing in a L fare gold elite I dont think I will get it, cause I guess I have to wait for platinum companions to be upgraded first.

As others mentioned, your message sounded unclear whether you are a PLT or GLD, but last time I flew in CO408 yesterday, they cleared most of the seats but left three open. I was one of the last ones on the list, with L fare booked, so my guess was you might be correct that they upgraded all the PLTs first. However, who knows how many PLTs are behind me? This leaves a doubt of the EAU systems we have ahead of us.
