It should be clear, though. I just tried to book an award ticket on US and wanted the Monday morning ANC-PHX flight that leaves just after midnight. I told the agent the day I wanted and then when she was reviewing the final itinerary she said the Tuesday morning flight. I thought that was odd because I already knew the flight number and everything -- I thought it would be clear what I wanted, and if it wasn't, then she should have asked!
