I've stayed at the Sheraton Birmingham (by the convention center) TWICE, and had great service/room both times. The first stay I was given a HUGE 2 room suite ... complete with dining room set for 8! The second stay was a smaller suite, but quite nice. Good service, friendly employees. All shiny and brand new? No, but definitely in good shape overall. I'll stay there again (especially if attending a function at the convention center/auditorium across the street).
