On my return the load was low and they kept the "club" cabin for status pax and did not fill the middle seats (B or E).
Same for me on my recent LGW-EDI flight. My sis and I were the only 2 in the "Club" cabin.^^
Word of caution though, IME you have to pro-actively move yourself to the front of the aircraft via MMB otherwise the BA computer seems to randomly assign seats starting in the double-digits.
