Regarding join bonuses: Yes, we did discontinue these because we realized most of our users were frequent travelers and the relatively small mile/point number we could offer as a join bonus wasn't much of an incentive after all. Instead we pooled our resources and we now offer a 1,000,000 mile/point give-away every month for a variety of different programs. We've had a great response so far.
