She could just keep them in her name and book the flights for her kids when they want. But she could transfer them, but they usually charge for that, now if she explained the situation and the fact she works for Delta they might waive the fee.

Otherwise she could turn it into AMEX gift cards I think or use it to buy some other cool stuff.
