I like Burbank (I grew up under a landing pattern, though now live far away), though some people the lack of jetways difficult, lugging their big carry-on bags up the stairs to their flight. Biggest drawbacks are the small number of flights and destiantios, and, in some (not all) cases, higher fares than from, say, LAX or ONT. And a lack of eating places.

I was just at BUR last week, but not to flly. I took Metrolink to the train stop (essentially a busj stop), took my bags down to the shuttle lot (no carts available so if you have lots of bags you may have to make multiple trips, and hope it isn't raining), used the free phone to call for the shuttle bus to the terminal, and then took another shuttle to Enterprise car rental (it's one of those not located next to the terminal).
