citibank has a card known as ultima which gives platinum status with either jet or kingfisher....not just for the first year but for the duration of your card membership....

To be honest with you for OW Gold I wouldn't mind paying anything up to a Lakh a year for as the upgrades can be very good on BA with a Gold card.
the ultima card is available for a annual fee of inr 50k but it is not easy to get....its usually by invitation....
