I totally agree! They'd have saved themselves extra hassle, too, as I'm sure thousands of people are re-submitting their claims (perhaps several times) just because they have heard nothing.

Well, they didn't initially give any indication on how long it would take. Some were done much quicker than 5 days. But as they're being processed at a slower rate than the applications are coming in, it's only natural that the average wait time is increasing...
