Conclusion: Overall, the Jetta was a nice drive, a more unusual pick from the Emerald Aisle.
I rented the Jetta a couple weeks ago. I am not liking it. It has the loudest wind noise among all the different cars I have rented. The Ford Fusion, or the Chevy Malibu, was much quiter when driving on the highway.
I totally agree with the "HARD Plastics" thing. Don't like it either.
I do like the layout of the control panel. It's not fancy, but very clean, nicely laid out, and no-nonsense. Very easy to find the control you are looking for while you are driving.
