CO Presidential Plus CC gives 1000 EQM per $5K spent.... this is the only way that I personally know of to get elite miles through a cc, then gain elite status. I think this works best just to top off your elite acct to the next level.... unless youre planning on some hefty charges, its obviously way cheaper to fly the miles, or even buy extra miles.
