Slightly OT, but I really don't get this constant fascination with size/type of TV's in hotel rooms because I don't really know anybody who even watches television anymore. For live sports I can understand, but otherwise what is the point?
Why would anyone watch TV at a hotel? Well, for example, the earthquake happened while I was at the LM, and I have friends who were affected, so I was watching television to follow the tragic events.
Mrs. Flews has often been known to order up a move as part of her relaxing, vacation experience. That's a real treat on a 20" tv...
Also, we have 2+ year-old twins. We always bring a mini DVD player with us to plug into the television so they can watch their chidlren's movies. They are currently going through a Disney phase.
This is especially useful when we are in a country that does not offer children's programing, or offer much programing beyond BBC/CNN in English.
So there's three reasons right there off the top of my head...
