There are many of us frequent flyers who have done so for many years but because once retired we only fly domestically, or on holiday, we find it hard to reach silver status - but we are loyal to BA! Recently, after 30 years I've taken to flying KLM or AF because my local airport demonstrates a competitive price for flying club class - as well as to many more destinations around the world that I wish to visit. However I am British and wish to direct my spend to the British economy!!!!!!!!!

For you younger guys - look after the pensioners but because we will end up looking after you in the current financial climate!!!!!!!!!!!!
