I just got this in the mail. Apparently an effort by Amex to provide greater value/benefits. Here's what it says:

- Convenience of automatic miles transfer to Kingclub: Henceforth all Amex MR points earned on the card will get credited to my Kingclub account! What on earth?!? Why?!? All existing MR points can be redeemed before April 30th, else those will also get transfered to Kingclub.
- Complimentary Kingclub Gold Tier only until July 31st, 2012. Post which tier status will be governed by Kingclub t&c.

American Express, you've just killed it for me (and I'm sure for many folks like me).
