Correct! I just got status matched to PLT.

For the poster who mentioned the advantage of OW in terms of earning bonus miles, I would like to point out that in CX for instance you cannot earn AA miles for most of the discounted Y fares.

In Star on the other hand, I rarely had problems earning miles on discounted Y on foreign carriers.
