Also, a lot has changed since the press release a year ago announcing the NoS. The Labor Party took a pounding at the NSW state election this weekend, and at the national level, the Labor party holds power by a very narrow margin after the election last August. The uproar in the US may have dampened their enthusiasm. So they may be (or not??) a bit more cautious than when this was first planned.
