The Renaissance Hollywood is the only decent choice within walking distance. The west Hollywood Hyatt is another option which is good. As for Starwood, I think the closest might be the Westwood W or the downtown Westin Bonnie. Both of which would require a car or fairly expensive taxi. OTOH, you could take the LA Metro directly from the Bonnie to Hollywood Blvd. It actually is quite nice. So if you really don't want a car and you really want an SPG property, I would go downtown to the Bonnie.
