Really, BA should negotiate access to the AF lounge. I have not checked the times but as long as there is no concurent COI departures, crowding should not be an issue.
As to newspapers, that's a weak point in the BA product offering. There is an expectation that people would get papers from the lounge. However, if there is no lounge...
IB lounge used to be before security. But it is a long walk and then one has to clear security before reaching BA gate.
COI depart from Orly Sud, so that should not be a problem.
On BA, newspapers are always available in the blue rack before boarding the plane (in addition to the lounge). But that has not been organized at Orly.
