My reasons for booking CE are:
-Empty space next to me (see above)
-The meal and the champagne. Yes, I actually enjoy the meal. It gives me something to do during the flight, and I actually think they're quite ok. Probably because I only fly CE a couple of times a year.
-TP's. I enjoy being Silver, and to be able to maintain it, CE is the only way to keep my status (when BA don't give it away for "free" like last year).

To be honest, I really don't consider any other airlines/classes when going on holiday i Europe. My last holiday was booked based on where I could get the cheapest CE-tickets to from Oslo.

And since I usually book months ahead, and always R-class (meaning that what I book months ahead is the flight I'm actually gonna be on), they should have a really good reason for not having my meal.
