I hate to be the BA basher here, but I am 99% certain that BA were not obliged by HMG to change the schedule. That they did it for the best of reasons is not in question, but if they made a commercial decision to do so, then IMHO they should at least make some gesture to the OP.

How is this different to any other schedule change and why should 261/2004 not apply ?
