hmm $172 looks a bit steep, maybe there is a currency issue involved. If you filled up my Mercedes today you would spend around £80. Todays exchange rate would therefore be $130.
Correction I filled up last Thursday, it was on reserve fuel. This was £68.20 which is $109.35
