Agreed. The point I am making is that if either the A-B or B-C flights are altered by either airline (or indeed the same airline if you choose to book them as separate tickets), the responsibility and cost lies with you to make sure that they remain correlated. If, as in this case, the timings of the A-B flight change then it's down to you to sort it out, whatever the cost may be. As I suspect you know, if you book a single ticket from A-C which is via B and the A-B and/or B-C flight(s) are altered then it is down to the airline to sort out any problems that may arise.

Firstly, thanks re not taking offence. Spend a little time on here any whilst it will be both entertaining and rewarding, a brawl can often break out quicker here than at closing time outside a rough pub.

Fault is an emotive word. I think responsibility is a better one. It is your responsibility not BA. Is it your fault you booked two separate tickets, perhaps but then does someone have to be at fault? You chose to book two tickets and accepted the risk of doing so.

Most importantly I hope this little blip doesn't detract from what sounds like a lovely holiday.
