Tis is what I as suspecting. My cousin is always buggin about fees for his sports equipment be that snowboard or wakeboard no matter what airline he flies, AA, DL, CO, UA. He's not a loyal flyer just going after best fare, but then gets dinged for bag fees a lot of times for the equipment.

I assume all airlines are about the same, and most are getting more vigilant to charge for the extra services, which in this tough economy is what they have to do to b profitable and remain in business! I pretty much think the grass is no greener anyplace else.
