Actually, seasoned business travelers and those on the road a lot actually appreciate simple comfort food in the air since they go out to eat in restaurants all the time for business/client meetings. Those who only want elaborate food in the air are typically passengers on redemption tickets (e.g., "I paid $1,500 for US Airways miles to redeem a LH F ticket and I want the flight attendants to shovel caviar and pour Champagne into my mouth!") These are the maximisers who spend hours and hours doing Ivy League doctoral-level research and develop a checklist to make sure they experience every single amenity in the F cabin and FCT, lest they miss something which would ruin their entire experience. These are also the same people who have no shame in taking full size bottles of toiletries from the F lavatory.
