Mr_right has a good idea to get a 2% cashback card as well as the Marriott card. I would throw in the HHonors AMEX as well and use that for places where you get 6 points/$ as that is somewhat better than 2%.
This is true. I ONLY use my Marriott Visa at Marriotts - nowhere else. I value Marriott points at .88 of one cent. Then again, I value Hilton points at a third of a cent.
HHonors Amex - I've been reading up on it, and it seems... OK. Definitely worthwhile if you're staying at Hiltons. Not as worthwhile as others, but yeah.
