What's the difference between American schanpps, liquers, and cordials?
Browing the aisles today, I was looking for Mathilde Liqueur, checking out the schnapps and noticed it is in the next aisle over under "liqueurs"? I though they are the same thing? What's the difference? Are the big schnapps made out artificial flavoring (DeKuyper, Mohawk, Dr. McGillicuddy (which is at a higher price point)? What kind of grain is it made out of and what is the process of making schnapps?
