So I'm trying to figure out why I would want to status match AF offer before the end of the month.

I'm EXPLAT on AA so I assume I would get equivalent on AF.

I may fly once on AF from LAX-CDG in September but that would be it this year. So what is the advantage?

I would do it if:

1) It might allow me an upgrade on AF to biz from cheap economy ticket;

2) I would receive lounge access domestically by flashing the AF/Delta card.

Otherwise, is there any reason to do it when I'm still trying to requalify on AA and can fly AA metal in September to CDG?
