the requirement now is 15k for platinum, and 5k for rest of card. no card without bank guarantee, even blue card

Maybe you can try to put 15K into an account which your bank locked and then the Bank send a Guarantee to Amex up to this amount
LIke this you're both covered! (Your bank and Amex)
