I needed an extra 800 miles to book two CW MFU to F returns to HKG last week . Purchased 2000 miles (yes I know it is relatively expensive but will earn lots more so didn't need to pay for any more) and was able to complete the booking within 2 minutes. All done on-line and the transaction / points changes did not show up until after the e-ticket receipt arrived (but all details present and correct within 30 min).
