It's not quite the same as where you connect can change the price of a ticket making it harder to quote an all in price and that definately doesn't happen with the price of a cup of coffee.
That said IMHO AC does need to move to more truthful pricing policies.
I guess there are two separate issues here. Advertised prices (Print etc) and added "charges" after you select your $179.00 flight and it's actually $685.00 with fees at the final booking screen.
