Westin downtown is really nice, and right off the highway. There's a Sheraton just a bit further west, across the arena, also right on the highway. Both are fairly new, not that expensive (especially on weekends) and convenient to 40. Rooms are nicer at the Westin, but bigger at the Sheraton.
The Sheraton in Clayton isn't anything to write home about. The Ritz there is pretty standard stuff...actually has a happening lobby lounge scene, comfortable rooms, but nothing special.
