Warning: I was told by a check-in agent a couple weeks ago that golf bags > 50 lbs would be charged extra (?? $100) regardless of status or COS. Seems a bit harsh since F (which I was traveling in) is supposed to get up to 70 lbs for 1st two bags.

Not hard to get over 50 lbs w/ a golf bag. My hard case with no golf balls and one pair of shoes was at exactly 50lbs. She said people were trying to get around the luggage fees by overstuffing their golf bags.

I thought the upper preferred levels (P & CP) had a 70 lbs allowance but I don't see that on the website now. Perhaps my memory is wrong.

Some detailed clarification would be helpful.
