Slightly off topic, but how does ACs cancellation policy work on code shares when booked off their web site? If I book an itinerary with a portion (or all) on UAL, LH etc. is it subject to their rules or can you still cancel within 24 hours?

Who holds the ticket in this case if you want to make changes - AC or the partner?
