It's legal. However, the Transatlantic Flight arrives at E Dock, after arriving you go downstairs and take the Heidi Train to the main Terminal. There you pass through Shengen Immigration into the main body of Terminal A, and join the queue for Security.
All of which will take at least 20 minutes, so unless you can be sure of being towads the front of the Y Cabin, and thereby off the Plane quickly, then you're really pushing being offloaded - If it's a through Ticket you would of course be put on the next Flight (in this case an LX [with LH Codeshare] Avro RJ100 at 12:15).
This is the whole route...when you say Y Cabin, I assume this mean near the front of the plane rather than the back?
