Just flew MIA-LGA, and after spending 20 minutes successfully analyzing how to proceed through a C/P without being selected for NoS (all 4 AA C/Ps had MMW in use today), I was annoyed to find a blue infection at my gate.

However, no bag check. Instead, they compared ID to BP and let everyone through. I was half expecting, "Hello, Mr. Corbett, we've been waiting for you..." but instead just another waste of taxpayer dollars.

I could almost understand this additional security at int'l gates to make sure someone doesn't buy a domestic BP under his name and an int'l one under a fake name, then proceed through security on the domestic and take the int'l, thus fleeing the country unnoticed, but I just can't see how the skys are more secure if they ensure I head to NYC and not Peoria.
