I had a little extra time to chat with the bag check people today, and both of the ladies there confirmed for me that LAX AA Priority AAccess will be shifting to the far east part of T4 next month (didn't get exact date), it will be walled off ("like JFK" they told me), it will use the far east escalator and it will feed elites into the "private" screening area just off of the main screening area. Awesome!

Apologies if this has been discussed already...

Upon checking in at the LAX Priority AAccess kiosks this morning with the usual assortment of confused kettles in line, I got into a conversation with the check-in agent about exactly that issue. She told me "I can't wait until this problem is fixed," and when I inquired "How?" she told me the plan is to move Priority AAccess to the far east side (near T5) of the terminal, which should help to alleviate the issue of non-elites being dropped off at the first AA door they see and then trying to check in at Priority AAccess. A rumor for sure, but if true it can't come soon enough for me. AA has done a very poor job with both understandable signage and with actual human help for non-elites in the Priority AAccess area at LAX T4, which is a shame because I generally find the rest of the T4 experience quite pleasant.
