Why not just get a status match over to AAdvantage and use your OW status from that with CX?
I do one to two international trips a month, and almost no domestic trips. I'm going to be flying to Asia mostly, so I think the Marco Polo is my best bet. I'm almost ready to punt the AA miles anyway since I simply don't fly domestic much anymore and I can always just do that on UA.
